Westward from Kamloops Lake, while CP chose to ascend to high ground at Walhachin, CN remained close to the Thompson River, requiring several bridges to avoid difficult terrain, providing a wonderful array of photo opportunities. Here, just east of Walhachin, an oxbow of the river was crossed twice by fills, this being the west one, occupied on Tuesday 1982-06-01 at 0708 PDT by westward grain loads powered by CN 5139 + 5125 + 5280.
