I had to wait a long time to do this, after Bill Thomson posted his Wonderful photo of a CP pup on the Caroline St. Waterloo Street Running I had to capture this after ION started operating. This entry for the Time Machine is my attempt to re-create a train photo in the same location of Bill's photo. I think I'm darn close. When was the last time Street Running track was removed then put back? It may not be exactly the same but it's all standard gauge.

Ridership estimates for the LRT on opening weekend were 73,000 passengers, and expectations of blowing well past this for the opening week as trains remain quite full. They are so full they've asked people to take the buses.. as some are now empty :) Again I'm not a big fan of Transit, but this photo was on my bucket list for some time. With thanks to Bill Thomson for the inspiration as usual!

  1. Checking the ETS website in Edmonton, something very similar to this will be coming to our neighbourhood. Thanks for posting as they really do give a realistic feel for how it will be here. :-)
