CN GP9 4587 leads two sisters (4478 and an unidentified unit) through Bayview during the winter of 1960. While I don't have a record of the train number, this may have been 463 which was due to leave Mimico at 1:00 PM in the early 1960s, with an 8:00 PM daily arrival in Fort Erie. (Trains 465, 463, and 305 also ran between Mimico and Fort Erie--departing Mimico at 12:15 AM (6:45 AM arrival), 4:45 AM (11:00 AM arrival), and 8:00 AM (1:30 PM arrival, Tuesday-Saturday). In addition, Train 461 to Niagara Falls departed Mimico at 11;45 PM and arrived Niagara Falls at 3:00 AM, daily except Sunday. Trains 482 and 484 departed Sarnia for Niagara Falls at 9:15 PM (3:30 AM arrival) and 8:45 AM (3:00 PM arrival)...so with counterparts in the opposite direction, there was lots of freight traffic on the Grimsby sub back then! (Plus daily trains 486 and 488 between Sarnia and Fort Erie via Canfield and the Dunnville sub!)
