A lone GMD-1 sits out the weekend in front of the Hanna Roundhouse. The large size was due to all coal mine runs in the Red Deer Valley were assigned to Hanna. CN abandoned the line around 2011 due to bridges requiring renewal in the badlands. Calgary traffic from the east was diverted to Bretville Jct. in east Edmonton then south via Camrose and Mirror. The roundhouse was preserved in this once busy terminal
