CN 600, the matching slug for the CN 7600 rolls into Edmonton on Z 11251 09. The slug was rebuilt by Progress Rail in Tacoma and painted in the attractive green and gold CN scheme. CN 600 is enroute to Toronto to be paired up with the CN 7600, which has been based out of MacMillan Yard.

CN 7601 and 601, painted in the IC Scheme, should be arriving in Vancouver shortly.

  1. I’ve never seen CN green and gold in this shade and will agree with a friend of mine who says this should be lettered “Chicago National”.

  2. The correct paint scheme, if not the correct shade of green. All CNR Diesels should revert to the correct scheme if you ask me (which you didn’t)!

  3. This thing actually looks better than the Geep that was painted. Jeez that green is so off.

  4. It may be off, but we should appreciate the result :) they don’t have to do a thing for us. They’re a business.

  5. first time i ever saw a pix of a slug with a snow plow
