  1. Simply beautiful.

  2. Beautiful picture of a beautiful locomotive. My first visit to Vancouver was in late June 1954, just a little too late to CPR steam in service. The trip home to Toronto at the end of June 1954 on CPR’s Dominion was diesel hauled with brand new GMD F units, all the way to Fort William (Thunderbay) where a G3 Pacific took over assisted by an A unit. At least steam was helping to pull our train part of the way. Thanks very much for posting, John
