CN 568 is almost ready to depart west for New Hamburg and Shakespeare with a GMTX duo, CN GMD-1 1412, and CN GP9RM 4102. Since the time of this shot, CN 1412 has been taken back to Toronto MacMillan yard and retired. This particular train did not go to Stratford. Instead, the GMTX pair ran around their train in Shakespeare before heading back to Kitchener.

  1. Another push pull operation eventually then Isaac? I know CN has been doing the same out of Brantford. Very nice! And too about about 1412.

  2. This was likely the last time 1412 went west on L568 as well before going back to Mac. Nice catch.

  3. Brad- yes, it would have been push-pull coming back from Shakespeare. 4102/1412 on the tail
    Jason- wow, that’s interesting.
Thanks for the kind words from you both
