My mission on this hot summer night was to catch the 1943 built M/V MISSISSAGI discharging a load of stone in Sombra, ON. Upon arrival I grabbed my camera and stepped out of the car and was immediately swarmed by about 1000 blood thirsty mosquitoes. Mission aborted and I started heading home to Point Edward via HWY 40. As I crested the overpass by NOVA's Corunna Site there was switcher NCLX 2003 bathed in light and all done for the night. I couldn't pass up this opportunity so I pulled over and set up for a few shots and thankfully there no mosquitos.

    Unreal to see this back in service after.. how many years parked at LDS? 8? 10? I thought it was done.

    Yes, I was surprised as well to see it leave LDS after a 2 or 3 month stay this year and most of it outside on the “dead” line.

    Thats a really nice shot. I do not know the area, but I sure know mosquitoes. Scary out there some nights. :o ) Again, I have to say I love this image.

    I should clarify. I do have shots of this thing buried in this plant over the last 10 years but 2003 seems to spend 95 percent of its life at lds…
