The peace and quite of an early spring morning in cottage country is shattered by a monster intermodal as it passes through Washago, Ontario heading south to Toronto. Although early may, the leaves are showing that fresh spring green.

Here's a side view of the Gp-9 that I saw in the yard a couple weeks back. Just the other day, i was driving buy the yard shops and saw this coupled up to VALE #2001. I haven't seen it since.

I went down to the yard again the other day to see the VIA train leave for Whiteriver. I knew they had RDC's powering the train, this was my first time seeing them in person. They were amazing! Also, there was another surprise waiting in the yard, a CP Gp-9u that was in very nice shape (to my eyes). This was one of the last things i expected to see, any ideas where it's headed?
