I went down to the yard again the other day to see the VIA train leave for Whiteriver. I knew they had RDC's powering the train, this was my first time seeing them in person. They were amazing! Also, there was another surprise waiting in the yard, a CP Gp-9u that was in very nice shape (to my eyes). This was one of the last things i expected to see, any ideas where it's headed?

  1. That is surprising. Nice catch.

  2. Thanks

  3. What a great spot to take this picture from. :-)

  4. Sure is, it’s from the Bridge of Nations facing towards the big smoke stack. It’s also a good spot to watch them switch the yard!

  5. Have some more news, I drove past the yard shop today, and saw the Gp-9 coupled to a VALE locomotive. Could they have purchased it?
