I met him here around 9 pm with the dinner order he had called for earlier, and watched while he did his inspection and lubrication. He paused a minute for a quick photo.  He had been allowed to take the throttle himself as far as Suspension Bridge NY, where a CN geep and crew coupled on and took over. '  height='150' width='200' /></a><br>

Location is obvious to many, going over the Burlington Canal Left Bridge for a runpass when the Beach Sub. was still intact...and had a reasonable speed limit, judging by the slight blur of the engine marker.  I think the shadow was caused by the locomotive exhaust.'  height='150' width='200' /></a><br>
