Here's the Father of Short Line RRs in Canada, and member of the Canadian Railway Hall of Fame, the late Tom Payne stopped in front of the Yard Office at Stuart St. Yard (leased to Railink at the time) with his Reading 2100 enroute from Ohio to St. Thomas. I met him here around 9 pm with the dinner order he had called for earlier, and watched while he did his inspection and lubrication. He paused a minute for a quick photo. He had been allowed to take the throttle himself as far as Suspension Bridge NY, where a CN geep and crew coupled on and took over.
