This was a shot I wanted to try for a while, and all it took was a bit of patience and timing. Who knew that 4 short months later OSR would pull the plug on the Cayuga. Anyone know the backstory on the 112 mileboard? Its not typical CN style and looks very similar to some of the N&W/Wabash style mileboards from their American lines. This ultimately would be the last run of the clipper I was able to catch. ' height='150' width='200' />
It was quite the switching maneuver performed to boot. Here they are crossing over Walnut Road. Walnut Road is the first side road north of Hensall. A big thanks to my buddy Jamie Knott for fixing this gem for me, I still haven't mastered editing yet and am very slowly learning the basics. The original was slightly out of level and he also made a few other adjustments for me. I'm not sure what the species of tree is in the shot, but one can only surmise it might be a a Walnut since it's on Walnut Road. ' height='150' width='200' />
Today on point were two of the classic GP9Rm's. CN 7025, and 4130. In this shot they have completed their work at Thompson's and are preparing to make their way to Thamesville on the CN Chatham Sub. On this day they were also to have work ADM on the north side of the tracks, but due to the blue flag being left up on ADM's siding and no one around to remove it unfortunately ADM would be passed up and have to be switched out on the next trip. Rumor's are abound that the future of the spur(s) in up in the air but only time will tell as the number of cars coming and going seems to be keeping steady or increasing for now.
