Tellier Tunnel being down in Sarnia because of a derailment, CN rerouted many trains through the Detroit River Tunnel in Windsor. The large Generating Station at Courtright is being dismantled and scrap is being shipped out by rail. CSX switches the place about 2-4 times a month and are currently running there Sunday afternoons.'  height='150' width='200' /></a><br>

The CSX Sarnia Sub. has some new local power, in the form of two GP40-3&#039;s numbered 6505 and 6547 (6547 is in the background sitting between GP38-2&#039;s 2570, 2799 &amp; 2561). GP38 variants have been the main local power here for CSX for decades, so having a couple of GP40&#039;s around is certainly interesting. There&#039;s also a new customer along the line, as CSX is shipping out scrap from Ontario Hydro&#039;s Lambton Generating Station in Courtright. There were 12 Aim Recycling gons in there today, and they are supposed to be switched 2/3 times a week.'  height='150' width='200' /></a><br>

There aren&#039;t too many details available publicly about this sale yet but we do know it&#039;s been sold. One can only speculate what the future holds for this property now that someone clearly has interest in it. Back when trains were running, we see CSX 2574 leading a 25 car local through town on their way back to Sarnia after switching SW CO-OP and Tupperville.'  height='150' width='200' /></a><br>

That changed when the derailment occurred in Sarnia on June 28th, and I took advantage of every opportunity I could to catch those re-routes. Cutting the lawn? Groceries? Nah, those can wait, rare trains are far more important. Here we see CN 326 lead by 5484, 2541 and 8933 as they climb out of the tube on their way to home rails at Little Yard, and eventually London.'  height='150' width='200' /></a><br>
