Any remaining opportunity I have to shoot one I take full advantage of, CN 1440 being one of them. In 2020, CN retired and sold off its entire GMD-1 fleet as well as some other locomotives such as a few C40-8 variants and yard power. CN sold 1440 to SSR (Stewart Southern) who would slowly strip it down for parts to use on their own locomotives and/or sell. Only a few weeks after this photo was taken the unit would be stripped to nothing and scrapped. Although it was disappointing to see it go, the shot I managed is more than enough to keep me happy ' height='150' width='200' />
