GO Transit built a new building to the west side of what was the old Allandale yard. This gave GO a straight platform, but now the old station sits isolated while the city tries to find someone to redevelop the area. Google maps shows the current situation faily well. The station was restored with the tower and tile shingles to match it’s as-built appearance.

Great shot. Terrific restoration. Would be really historic if the GO line would use this magnificent structure. Although I must wonder if this restoration is someone’s (an architect?) modern interpretation of what the Grand Trunk Railway original Allandale Station may have looked like. Have a look at the operational CN Barrie station circa 1978:
