Comments on: I was rather surprised to see this old MLW C-630M #2035 in the GEXR yard at Goderich on one frosty winters’ day. On loan, I guess, from the East. This was the largest locomotive I had ever seen on the GEXR, and to be honest I don’t think it ever turned a mile in revenue service. Anyone know? According to the Trackside Guide this former CN 2035 was cut up for parts in 1999.

I believe it made one or two trips but wound up suffering some type of mechanical failure and was sent back East soon after.
