The builder plate is stainless so there would only be a small rust spot and an outline. I’m 99% sure it made it till 1988 (as seen in another photo of yours) with the plate affixed to the right side.

Thank you Kevin. I do believe, all but the 4602 and 4604 (both in zebra), kept their NAR colours till the end. Not so for the GMD-1′s, the Bishop Grouard (1080) was the last I saw in NAR paint, final photo and sighting, April/85/Calder DS.

Yet another great picture! Being that it was 1987 , I did not realize that the NAR colours lasted so long.
