Nov. 11 up to North Bay.  The excursion on Sat. Nov. 12 ran to Elk Lake, Adams Mine, Swastika, and Kirkland Lake, returning to North Bay later in the evening.  Members would return south to Toronto on Northlander 122 on Sunday afternoon. This scene was captured as the operation was switched between CN and CP, which occurred every so many weeks.

&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Per John Eull&#039;s article &quot;The History of the Nanticoke Steel Trains - Part 2&quot; in The Ontarian, CP&#039;s steel train was in its final year of operation before being 100% handled by CN. Prior to May 20, 1986, the train had operated Hamilton - Brantford - Waterford - Simcoe - Garnet - Nanticoke utilizing the TH&amp;B Waterford Sub, LE&amp;N Simcoe Sub, CN Cayuga and Hagersville Subs. A landslide at Cainsville during the evening of May 20 severed the line, which with a twelve million dollar price tag for repairs, resulted in the line being abandoned. A new route was established, operating Hamilton - Welland - Hagersville - Garnet - Nanticoke using the TH&amp;B Welland Sub, and CN&#039;s CASO and Hagersville Subs.

&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The shared operation of the train between CN and CP ceased on March 22, 1987, with CN operating the train until cancellation in the fall of 1989.

During the early years of Trillium&#039;s Port Colborne Harbour Railway, short excursions were held using ALCO C-425 6101, ALCO S1 308, and coaches from the Medina Railroad Museum in New York.
