Mother nature wasn't sure what season it was today while delivering snow, freezing rain, straight rain and then more snow. After spending over 4 hours switching in the downtown yard, a pacman SD40-2 emerges slowly from the fog between the unsettled weather leading a great consist along the north shore of Lake Ramsey. Power was CP 6042, CSXT 232, CSXT 670 and CP 9580.

The CP Holiday Train paints the frame with its' lit up consist as it skirts around the shores of Lake Ramsey. I was hoping for a reflection off of the water in the distance but the heavy fog wanted nothing to do with that.

A four unit lashup including an SD70ACe eases a loaded crude oil train through Sudbury's first real snowfall. Power consisted of CN 2884, CN 2134, CN 8103 and CN 5647.

As the sun sets, temperatures approach the -35 degrees celsius mark. Work 909 is in the siding at Thorlake to let 102 by while the brakeman has a fire going in the GTW caboose.

Agrium mine's remote switcher SW1200 7731 spots cars during the arrival of ONT 516. Photo taken from the cab of ONT 2202, uploaded with permission. Agrium mine along with the Agrium sub were shut down shortly after this photo was taken.

After lifting 30 or so car loads of phosphate from Agrium, 515 slows to a crawl for the less than favourable upcoming track conditions. Agrium mine as well as the Agrium subdivision closed shortly after this photo. Photo taken and uploaded with permission.
