This form is for you to contact a photographer to request permission or a sale of a photo, or for a general communication request (with limits). This form is MANUALLY processed and is NOT automatic. Hundreds of Railpictures.ca photographs have been granted the photographers permission for a sale, or been used in publications all across the globe. Many of our photographers have been contacted by Canada's railways large and small for permission or a sale and have had photos published nationally in contemporary and historical publications or books. This form is to be used to get in touch with a photographer for this purpose and for occasional requests to contact a photographer for further information.

NOTICE 2022/2023: You may use this form to contact a user to request permission or a sale of a photo to one of our photographers, BUT we will no longer allow people to send messages that are better left as comments on a photo. If you wish to send a user a comment or information about a photo on the site, please add a comment directly on the photo. We will no longer forward these types of comments to users to cut down on the work it takes to do this. Thank you.

To contact a user, type your name, your e-mail address, and write your message below. All messages will be reviewed by a moderator before being sent. Any inappropriate or incomplete messages will be deleted
Licensing or permission negotiations are between you and the user, railpictures.ca is not responsible for your negotiation success nor do we act as agent for the photographer.

ALL REQUESTS ARE APPROX ONE TO 21 BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE THEY ARE HANDLED. We expedite all sale and permission requests but this is 100% a volunteer effort and we are not a communication platform. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
