At this point I had my fingers crossed hoping that the kind engineer would open up the throttle and really lay on some of that thick black smoke that ALCO's are so famous for, but no luck. Either way I still feel fortunate to have been able to shoot such an attractive unit as an RS18u on such a beautiful day. Here 1859 is pushing two hoppers down to Southpier Terminals, this would be the end of the chase for us.
