Two elderly EMD 'Geeps' haul the daily London bound freight through Essex on the historic Canada Southern. At the time this power was rare for this train, taking a break from the normal fleet of SD70's and SD75i's that were so common on 438/439. Today however, this is normal power for this train as CN has agreed with VIA to put at least two units on the front in case of mechanical failure, which has happened before. These rails are long gone and CN is now using VIA's Chatham sub to gain access to Windsor.

  1. Classic Essex shot with the water tower. Seen many shots from the good ‘ol days on the CASO from this vantage point.
