CN HR616 #2102 has train #381 down to a crawl as it readies to negotiate the cross-overs at Chatham East on July 27, 1991.  The Chatham East Operator has hoop and orders in hand as the Brakeman on 381 leans down to snag them.  2102 will go through the cross-overs and diverge onto the CSX Sarnia Sub for it's short run to Fargo, where the train will again turn west onto the CASO to finish out it's run to Windsor.

  1. Is that Jennifer Waring ? And why are they still using train orders?

  2. I believe that was her name Bruce. As for the T/O’s, I assume they are for running over the C&O to Fargo.

  3. Perhaps I have the dates fuzzy in my mind, as to when the (new) rules, CROR, came into use. I was thinking it was late 1990 but maybe it was 1991…and train orders as we knew them ceased to exist.
