CN 395 was usually a regular evening departure (and in the FPON daze was always good for some foreign power) so could be tricky to shoot in good light depending on your location. On this day however, being a little over 4 miles from where it originated had its advantages: an all-CN consist of SD70I 5613, C44-9W 2602 and C40-8M 2422 are in charge of this evenings' 395, towering high as it crosses the massive Humber River bridge in Woodbridge (Vaughan) at sunset. Shot standing on the municipal boundary between Toronto and Vaughan: Steeles Avenue. The houses in the background are off Kipling Ave, and Highway 407 crosses part of the valley below.

  1. One of the best places to shoot CN on the Halton, nice take.
