There is 'something' about these old rural stations.  Living quarters upstairs for the operator, as there is no actual settlement here. The community of St.Alexis-de-Matapedia is about 5 KM the other side of the Matapedia River. I wondered at the time I took this photo whether the structure was being used as a private residence, seeing the car parked there. Quebec's countryside used to be dotted by these little pieces of history; now most all,  I suspect, are but a memory.
