Caption: Alas, another example of street running that is now history. When the steel arch bridge in downtown Niagara Falls was still in use, the CP had a convenient connection with CN at a point not too far from the bridge. The line ran thru this intersection at Queen St and Erie St., along Park St to where the CN yard until recently was in operation. CP 8211 and 8240 are returning with traffic from CN; on this typically miserable November day the flagman is out making sure the path is clear, as Queen St is a major artery in the city. The building on the right is the old Rosberg's Department Store, long a city fixture but now up for sale, victim like many others of the onslaught of big box stores.

Great shot! You really captured a moment in time. That area of NF is pretty rundown now when I went through a few years ago.
