It's cold, it's snowing, it's Sunday, and we're freezing our bunions off. Initially braving the weekend winter weather to catch a hot Goderich Exeter Railway export special with what turned out to be a single boring FLP Class 66 for the UK (which of course happened to speed by just as we walked in to our photo spot), it was decided to stick around and wait for the regular afternoon VIA, and whatever else may be around. Naturally at this time it began to snow. But when life gives you snow, you make use of that brand new bridge the city has just finished to wait under.

After half an hour of accumulation, a set of headlights suddenly comes into view in the distance. Rapidly advancing through the white abyss, Operation Lifesaver painted 6411 accelerates VIA 85 out of downtown Brampton, on time, with the F40 and three Budd cars kicking up a trail of freshly fallen snow in their wake. Just as quickly as it appeared, it was gone - returning the scene back to quiet falling snow.
