Beautiful March morning as #70 eastbound scoots down the grade toward Bayview Jct and destination Toronto. View is from the remains of the old Canada Crushed Stone Company conveyor overhang that until the '90s straddled the mainline. The two tracks on the left are gone now, the one by the double track CN main stored loads/empties for CCSL and the track down below was access track for Steetley, Inc., an operation just out of view on the left, at which dolomite was loaded for shipping via TH&B (which also had a connection thru Dundas to Aberdeen) as well as via the CN. A small industrial switcher shunted cars for this outfit. All is gone now, the access track last to go, taken up in August of 1985. A new subdivision of above average homes occupies this land today. Upper center in background of photo one can just make out Dundas station, surrounded by MoW equipment.
