Not your typical sight nowadays. However, CP 421 has proven a few times this sight still is possible. Six variants of SD40-2's (5988, 5953, 5959, 6072, 6040, 9006) are for power of this northbound today. After doing work at Utopia, it pulled into the siding at Essa to wait for its counterpart, 420. The rails would get a work out this evening, as 420 would meet 247 at Baxter, meaning this section of the Mactier would see 3 trains in just 40 minutes. Thanks to those who gave the heads up for this stellar lashup on CP 421.
