VIA trains using Track 1 isn't a frequent occurrence as it's usually GO-only - VIA uses the higher numbered platforms at the south end of the train shed. Today however that's not a Georgetown GO train, but VIA #93 for Niagara Falls loading on Track 1 under the train shed at Toronto Union Station. F40PH-2D 6418 leads the two stainless steel Budd "HEP" cars, awaiting departure in just over an hour at 11:00am. Fast forward a few years, and the majority of the Niagara Falls VIA trains were cancelled in 2012 when GO started running their own trains to the 'falls.
