The Big Game is on! Amtrak 189, the "Big Game Unit" squares off with GO cabcar 254 in this battle for territory at Niagara Falls station. While GO 787/788 has had this problem with Amtrak all summer, the faces have gotten closer because GO is now running 12 car trips to Niagara Falls because of the CNE, and the entire GO train wouldn't even fit on the platform. 10 minutes of spotting to know what doors couldn't be opened discovered that only 10 cars were on the platform. With each train not even 20 feet apart, the shadows of the GO cabcar bell and horn are shown on the nose of the Amtrak unit. In the end, the "Big Game Unit" won the battle as it had arrived well before the GO did, and was nearly done customs. The GO backed out out, and proceeded onto the far track, before coming back into the station. Considering this is Rule 105, or "Dark Territory", the RTC was not involved, and efficiently handled only by the two train crews.
