Intimate encounters in Northern Ontario. Along the defunct CN Kinghorn sub sat hundreds of stored aluminum hoppers, nicknamed "Lemon Limes" these cars designed for light branchline use had worn out their usefulness and worth more to scrap then repair. Here cars like CNWX 107409 sit stringed together, snowed in, in the middle of the bush northeast of Thunder Bay, in Shuniah Township await their fate. Paint fading, initials wearing off these cars will sit for another month and a half when a couple of CN extra's will be dispatched out of Thunder Bay to bring them into Port Arthur yard to be scrapped on site.
