The rail train in charge of removing rail from the CASO sub between Essex and Fargo is seen here chillin in Tilbury after a long days work. The next morning the train would pull past here and crews would continue dismantling the line. Within 24 hours of this photo these rails would be gone and another days work would be complete.

  2. I have just noticed, it appears there is a block signal still on.

    Not being to familiar with the area/ operation were the block signals still in use/ operation along the CASO?

  4. David- your probably seeing a light from something else as I don’t recall seeing any operating signals left at the time of this photo. There were plenty of signals left but with all electronics removed.
