  1. Nice. Also first I’ve seen of that grade crossing surviving into the new crossbuck era. (An extra dimension for the modellers). How big were the trains in those days to Sarnia?

    It all kinda depended on what R321 setoff @ Fargo to go north, and whether or not a lift of autoracks was coming off the CP. I do remember seeing a 100+ car train head north with 4 GP38′s once back around 1990 or so. I would hazard to guess that the majority of the northbounds would have been around 30 to 50 cars in length.
