It is coming up to 40 years since I caught these three locomotives basking in the warm sunshine at the CP Agincourt Diesel Shop. I would assume by now that wandering this facility would be strictly forbidden, but do not really know as I have not been there since around 1985. Always liked this paint scheme, the stripes, highly visible and almost hypnotizing when compared to todays' version.

    I think you would be arrested if you tried to get that shot today. I’m pretty surprised that even then you could have had such access.

    Went in the yard back in 2002 with my dad. We were told to leave by a foreman crew, but they also informed us of the upcoming CP Holiday train event, so they were quite nice about it. Even that was nearly 13 years ago. I would imagine though, you would likely be arrested today.

    I would come here back in the early 90′s and wander about quite freely…
    One could drive up along F Yard road and stop to take pictures quite easily.
    Does anyone know why CP moved away from the ‘full face stripe’ scheme and opted for the nose only version ?
