TG11 was the train – from Hagey, and it’s the Waterloo sub John, not the Kitchener sub.
Is there also a train TK22 that runs on the Waterloo Sub?
Craig, no, TK22 was the old symbol for the Wolverton job that usually ran to Hagey mon-sat.
The day Wolverton-Hagey turn is now usually called T72, sometimes T78, and the afternoon (evening) job (T74?) is known to also run to Galt. Since Wolverton jobs can run west (Toyota Woodstock) or east (Hagey/Galt) on the whim of needs of the plants anything is possible.
T79 (London Pickup) can also work Galt, as well, any 200 series train (240, 242, 244) is known to run up the Waterloo to set off empty autos on the Fergus spur (Leased by CN to CP from Concession St to end of track) or as some occasions call for, the empty autos are handed off direct to TG11 at Galt.
TG11, TG21, TG31 (Day, Afternoon, Night) Hagey jobs are also known to run the Waterloo, either south to Galt or North to South Jct or both.
When this photo was taken I believe T72 would probably have been finishing work at Hagey to come south, so I imagine they departed south after TG11 returned to Hagey and into the yard limits there.
The Waterloo sub is a very busy line, about 100 loaded (and 100 empty) cars going in and out every day packed into 10 miles of track.
About 10,000 cars/year go via South Jct (GEXR I/C)
About 30,000-50,000 cars/year go via Galt (if you count empties the number is on the high range).

A train of Autoracks came off the back track and headed West towards Wolverton when I arrived at 11:15, two hours before I captured this movement.
Stephen and John: Thanks for all the information. As it happens, on this same day, I was taking a picture from Hespeler Rd of a train (CP 3114, 3042, 2282 and auto racks) as it passed under the bridge and proceeded to Galt. I imagine this would have been the same train that you, John, saw as it came off the back track. Stephen, based on your thorough notes, it sounds like the train I shot was T72.
CP3061 (yard power in Wolverton) was smoking very badly yesterday. And there already a broken one in the yard so there could be 2 broken geeps in there. Great photo!
