CN Distributed power or just weird? CN 4774 arrives with a gondola at the front and hoppers to the rear. I don't know where they were going to leave them, as the North service track was completely full with tank cars?

  1. This is certainly an interesting photo to look at…

The hoppers are to be picked up by CN 435 later that evening…435 did their work at Paris yesterday instead of Brantford for some reason. Which is why 580 moved the hoppers to Paris.

The gondola was probably going to the lower yard track that is only visible from the other side of the yard, there are typically gons left there all the time for whatever CN gets up to with them.

  2. There are several yard tracks on the north side of the main, not just the north service track. The CN dump/pit is also on the north side, which is likely where the gon was headed.
