Elevated to iconic status as "the" streetcars of Toronto for decades (since they started replacing the venerable PCC cars in the late 70's), Toronto's fleet of aging Hawker Siddeley/UTDC CLRV and ALRV streetcars are on the way out, as new modern low-floor articulated Bombardier streetcars start to arrive by flatcar from Thunder Bay. A few oldies have already been retired and scrapped, while the rest are being kept working as best as possible until supply chain issues with Bombardier's assembly plants are resolved.

Like all the H-series subway cars replaced over the last few years, the same saying holds true: get 'em while you can, because when they're gone, they're gone.
