RLHH 3049 eases up to the intersection of Clarence and Colborne in Brantford with two hoppers for the Ingenia plant at the end of the Burford Spur. RLHH 496 was running at the perfect time for me to grab a few shots before getting over to the office before 0800, definitely a good way to start the day!

  1. I’m not familiar with this operation. What time on average does it take this route? I’ve been here but no luck with catching anything.

  2. I can’t tell you much, when CN ran the line they were easy to figure out and shoot. CN was always Wednesday and always after Via 72 departed.

The SOR is very very hard to figure out because they run when they are needed. The only thing that is consistent is they are usually coming downtown between 0730 and 0800. I have shot them on everyday of the week since they took over the line and it has never stayed the same day from one week to the next.

  3. Sounds like Trillium down here. Thank you though, maybe I’ll have some luck next time I’m over that way.

  4. They often run the Burford Spur on Wednesdays, but as Joe said, not always.
