  1. Marcus, that’s 582 and they start at Galt, run to Guelph, set off empties, wye the engine, pick up loads and return to Galt with work in both directions. This is 5 days a week and has been the usual pattern for a few months.

    The remainder of XV yard is in service after GEXR put in new ties and switch work, only the very eastmost track in the yard is out of service, and this is a fairly recent development. GEXR also won the Traxxside Malt contract from CP so it’s all likely to support this new business.

    582 does perform a few unusual moves from time to time, such as working the north industrial, or using the north wye instead, working XV yard and handling malt cars as you have pictured is certainly unusual.
