  1. I believe these units spent most of their time in NB. I remember seeing the odd one drift into Halifax, but it was rare. If I am correct they were part of the snow fighting equipment. The winter of 80 / 81 was really bad in NS and NB.

  2. I remember that Christmas in Halifax. It was VERY cold.
    I had occasionally seen the EMD muffed engines in Ontario but I do not recall what season. I would have expected to see them on the Guelph Sub through Kitchener.
    I guess the MLW engines stayed out east.
