For the 2015 Portage Flyer Christmas runs a snow squall blew in across Fairy Lake buffeting riders and Christmas lights alike, so much so that the strands of lights on the locomotive got blown off-kilter. No big deal, the passengers were well dressed for the occasion knowing they'd be travelling in open-air coaches and the locomotive still looked festive!
