At first, this would appear to be a rescue effort by CP to get the VIA train over the rails, but I suspect that this is how it left Vancouver the day or so before. This Expo 86 unit was used on this train to mark the opening of the event in Vancouver. I wonder if the "Super Continental" sported the CN specially painted unit?
