Caption: This is a six wheeled locomotive that is equipped with only 4 traction motors giving it an A1A-A1A truck arrangement.There is an air cylinder and linkage on each center axle that along with a variable traction control system in the computer that adjusts the pressure in the cylinders (this varies the weight on the drive axles)to maintain adhesion during changes in grade or wheel slip.
