SD75I CN 5656 and DASH 9-44CW CN 2607 take the second main line at Ardrossan. You can see our new "whistle cessation" fence in place. Local residents have been campaigning for a long time to silence the trains. No doubt many residents will be happy but as a railfan I will miss the whistles and the fence now makes it hard to get a good photo angle at this location.
