The world's largest rail car, the 740,000 pound Schnabel CEBX-800, with a load consisting of a 675 ton reactor; waits out traffic at Paris Jct before proceeding west on a week long trip to Kansas. This thing is huge; 36 axles; and over 2 million pounds with this payload. CN train #560, with CN 5528 the sole power is on its second day from Oakville, and was to be in London during the overnight. Security was present all along the move, (note the cruiser) although I was able to get permission for some photos from up on rail property of trains passing alongside this monstrous beast. I liked this photo because it gives a good idea of just how big this railcar is.
