What does a photo mean to you? This is a photo with much meaning for me, and little for anyone else. I grew up in multiple places around the GTHA, and Green Rd was one street I lived on. While I did not take photos in my younger years I sure liked to walk down to the tracks (about 2-3 KM) to watch trains, at exactly this crossing. So of course, It's always on my mind that I should take a photo here, as this location has positive meaning to me. Here's train 422 heading east toward Hamilton and Toronto, in the former City of Stoney Creek.Photo notes; This is also a very difficult if not impossible shot to get, the angle ONLY works in sun around June 22'nd (give/take a week) and only if you have an eastbound... which are very rare in the late late afternoon except for VIA 98. Not to mention you may not be able to due to shadows.. I haven't tried this yet, but I may this summer.

  1. 567 has been coming by late afternoons on Saturdays sometimes…maybe you could try catching that one

  2. Of course, but easier said than done. I’m 40 minutes away by car :)

It’s a longshot and that’s why we have to play the light as we have it.

  3. I’m moving just the other side of Red Hill Valley so i’ll have camera in hand. :)
