CN 396 makes a late daylight appearance in Brantford with BNSF 7829 leading a pair of IC units on a snowy February 2014 morning. I believe snow storms the day before had made more missed connections which explains the cut of intermodal on the head end of 396 on this day. Back in 2014 Foreign Power or FPON as we like to call it was plentiful on CN and it was not uncommon to get a foreign leader up here at the time...man I miss those days.

  1. I still remember feeling frustration after the FPON rush ended in 2008. At least this time CP has kept it going somewhat. It’s not the same though without the older EMD power though.

  2. I always loved having foreign power on my trains…lol as long as they were widecabs. UP and BNSF were the best ones.

  3. Snowplows were almost as common as FPON too haha!
