CN 580 trundles down the CN Burford Spur with CN 4721 on the point.  They are pictured passing an old concrete whistle post.  This whistle post fell over last winter and has not been replaced, a unique subject to photograph no longer useable.  On Wednesdays 580 would almost always be a good train to shoot on my lunch hour as they ran down the Burford Spur.

  1. Well… the whistle post was wired to a steel drive post for a while, but it fell over again. :) You often see angles I don’t. I like it!

  2. Nice one Joe – I did something a bit similar on the Sarnia sub nearly 10 years back, there’s plenty of concrete whistleposts on that line..
